Take a look at the wide range of volunteer activities we offer. One of these will be right for you.

• Canvassing, where we make an in-person connection with people to 

• register likely Democratic voters.

• raise awareness about candidates up and down the ballot.

• understand what voters want from elected officials.

• Get Out the Vote during the crucial final days of elections.

• Writing, where we reach out with tested messages sent at prearranged times to 

• prompt likely Democratic voters to register.

• help re-enfranchise citizens removed from voter rolls.

• provide information such as how to vote by mail.

• Get Out the Vote.

• Phone Banking, where we work from home to

• Call voters and accomplish most of what canvassers do in the field.

• Serve on a voter assistance hotline, answering phone calls from citizens who want to vote but need help to obtain, file, or cure ballots.

• Texting, where we post a registry of texting events sponsored by organizations in our battleground states.

• Poll Watching, where we protect the vote either from home or in-person by

• making phone calls to recruit poll watchers.

• working as poll watchers in nearby states such as Virginia and Pennsylvania.

Volunteer to Protect Voting Rights

Voter protection has three phases: assuring everyone can vote, assuring all votes are counted, and assuring that the election results are certified. NOPE is strongly committed to providing volunteer opportunities that help protect the vote.

Why I Volunteer With NOPE

I started volunteering with NOPE in the summer of 2020 while majoring in political science at Vassar. Like many people my age, I felt disaffected by our political situation and worried about the upcoming election.
