Postcards to register voters in PA, AZ, and MI

We're partnering with Sister District to test the impact of using postcards to get voters to register.  As we well know, when we vote we win, but "we" all need to be registered.  Here's the link for more information about this effort.  You are welcome to pick up postcards from us before our meeting, do them at home (25 cards take about 2 hours), and return them to Debra by March 19.  Send an email to if this option works for you.

Housing March for Our Lives participants

We're partnering with DC Local Ambassadors to provide housing for the families and young people who are expected to attend on March 24th.  Over the last year DC Local Ambassadors has been helping those who come to DC to march with logistics. They do really good work and are coordinating the housing as well has offering other volunteer opportunities.  Here's the link.  If you want to volunteer during the day of the march, check out this link.

Progressive Political Giving Circle

At our last meeting we agreed to create a Progressive Political Giving Circle. For those who choose to participate, we'll share thoughts on a few candidates and discuss to whom we'll direct our next monthly pool of funds.  Here's a one-pager describing our Giving Circle.  It's still a work in progress. We would welcome your participation but there's no obligation to give.

Skype Meet and Greet with Elaine Luria - VA 2

Here's a link to targeting data we'll be using as we try to determine where to direct our time and resources over the coming months.  It was compiled by Jim Shelton of Swing Left 31st Street.  He was one of our master number-crunchers from the VA 2017 cycle. It highlights 60 flippable races and rates them by level of difficulty to flip and readiness to move forward.  Elaine Luria falls into his "Ripe Now" category and within our key regions of interest -- VA & PA.  We'll have a chance to meet her by Skype and consider her among others for support now or later.  Skype Meet & Greet is an approach we look forward to testing and using over the coming months.
